Well I officially have the RC bug again. I sat at home this morning and was thinking about my car and how it is handling. Then I started talking to my wife and she said "well why don't we have a lazy weekend" I can go practice she's going to bum around the house and relax. She didn't even finish and I was kissing her goodbye and I was off. I got to the track to find there was quite a few people there. I pulled out my car and started to work on it. It appears that yesterday I broke the right front C-hub. Lucky for me Trackside had them in stock. Went up front and bought one and started wrenching. As I was wrenching I kept thinking about why my car looks faster than other that are geared lower than mine. After I finished I went out on the track and started driving. I was picking up were I left off. My drive lines were almost perfect cutting the boards really close then I started hearing my lap times 14.6, 14.9, 15.0,14.4, and 15.9. I hit the board too close on the last lap because I was listening to the lap time instead of driving. I was really surprised that my lap times were good. I was able to keep those lap time through out the day. Rodger showed up later in the day and I started talking to him about my car. He even said my car looks really fast for a 17.5 with a FDR of 4.65. Towards the end of the day he looked at my car and we might have come up with why my car looks fast with gear ratio. He noticed that my motor was advanced to full. This was done by Charlie from Novak at last years Novak race. That's where I bought the handout motor. On my ride home I called Dave and told him about it and we both agree we really need to do a field test, just to see if my car is faster or if it just looks fast. The only problem we are going to have is I am going camping Next weekend and this week will be rough from work because it will be a short week. As soon as I get back we are going to have to plan a test day and see. At this time I plan on taking lots of photos of my pit and car to show everyone what it looks like. Until then hope everyone has a good week and has lots of fun. See everyone real soon.
